31359 Switch-mode audio power amplifiers is a PhD course scheduled for the last half of August. This course will take place 20-24 August 2012.
Scope and form: Overview lectures, lectures, guest lectures, demonstrations, and work on individual assignment.
Duration of Course: Expected 5 days of lectures/excersises followed by homework. Report to be handed-in after 2 weeks.
Evaluation: Evaluation of exercises/reports. Scale of marks.
Optional prerequisites: Power electronics, control, analog and digital signal processing, linear and nonlinear circuits, and electromagnetism.
Aim/objectives:
To give the participants an overview and in-dept knowledge of switch mode audio power amplifiers.
Content:
Class-D, PWM, PDM, self-oscilliation modulatores, analog input, digital input, power stages and their errors, output filters, precompensation, control, measurements.
