Electrical Engineering includes in principle all technical applications of nature’s electrical forces – and thus all engineering fields based on that part of physics know as electromagnetics. DTU conducts research and offers educations within several areas of electrical engineering - some of which also relies on other technical disciplines such as mathematics and mechanics. These areas are acoustic technology, automation and instrumentation, electronic and electromagnetic systems, and electrical power systems.
