The microwave laboratory is capable of testing high frequency components in a frequency range from virtually DC to 170 GHz. Two probe stations and a range of Vector Network Analyzers are primary used for characterizing monolithic microwave integrated circuits developed in the department. The high sensitive measurements are conducted in the dedicated RF shielded room. In addition to network analysis, the Lab is used for measuring noise, power and spectral properties of high frequency components developed for communication and sensing systems, as well as biomedical instruments.
