DTU Electrical Engineering at Copenhagen's Culture Night 2012

Can a robot replace people? And take over the boring work? Approximately 2700 visitors visited Automation and Control's stand at the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Higher Education 12 October 2012, having brought with us the intelligent AGV Guidebot.

The intelligent AGV Guidebot is programmed to perform industrial logistic tasks autonomously in complex environments. The many visitors were invited to control the robot via a joypad and taught about the 3D technology used in the onboard Kinect sensors from an interactive demonstration, and the visitors, young as well as old, were impressed and entertained.

Automation and Control is looking forward to returning and entertaining again at next year's Culture Night with another new and exciting autonomous DTU robot.

Go to the Ministry's information about the Culture Night and see the whole programme here.

The three students at the stand were Lasse Crone Jensen, Jannik Boll Nielsen and Lukas Roy Svane Theisen. Thank you for an excellent job!
